As part of my Master of Sustainable Energy, I completed a course in Sustainable Energy Technologies such as solar, wind and battery technologies.
One of the assignments has been to analyse solar farms and wind farms to recommend a combination of variable renewable energy including energy storage that would meet the forecasted demand of an imaginary city.
Using my newly upgraded skills with Microsoft Excel and Tableau through my Google Certificate in Data Analytics, I was able to plot hourly demand profiles for each month, compare supply curves for various sites against the average hourly demand as well as combined supply and demand curves for the entire system including energy storage levels.
